Accessible disabled freindly gardens and garden venues in the North East including areas such as Durham, Northumberland, Sunderland and Newcastle. Please see each garden site for the level of access offered in and around the gardens, such as wheelchair friendly paths and WC facilities etc.

The home of Sir William and Lady Gray. Specialises in rare and unusual plants with emphasis on hardy herbaceous stock which survive in the cold climate of the northern dales. Wheelchair access is possible but many of the paths are gravelled and some areas have restricted access.
18th Century garden, sheltered on three sides by beeches and yew trees. The main garden paths have a small grade of gravel and are wheelchair accessible.
