Tripility (http://www.tripility.com), a user generated travel review website aimed at the disabled, dietary and family market
has launched in an effort to improve advice before going away. The idea behind Tripility is that users’ can review hotels based on their specific travel requirements, be it wheelchair access, use of induction loops or gluten free food; the aim is for people to share their holiday experiences, based on their needs. People can then filter reviews centred on what other users with similar requirements have written.

Travel is a massive business and accessible travel plays a big part. Research by the University of Surrey found that accessible travel generated €394 billion and 8.7 million jobs to the European economy, but access is being hampered. If destinations within Europe were fully accessible, an extra €142 billion and 3.4 million jobs could be added to the European economy. We're aiming to improve the information available for people booking their holidays, so finding suitable accommodation is not a chore.

One of the founders of Tripility, Deborah Parsons, came up with the idea when on holiday with her boyfriend and co-founder, Mark Hepples. “The idea arose when we booked our first holiday together, we just couldn’t find the information required for my needs. When we managed to find a hotel, we discovered that it was easily accessible in some areas, but in others, for example getting to the beach in a wheelchair, it was very difficult”.

Whilst initially concentrating on accessibility, they soon realised that other people have specific travel needs that were not being met as well. This is when they decided that Tripility would be devoted to those with a disability, but also to those with dietary requirements and families.

Providing reviews from those with similar needs will give people an informed choice for their trip. We are looking for hotel reviewers to help grow our database. Please get in touch today or sign up today.
