Dystonia Information

Dystonia involves involuntary sustained muscle contractions leading to abnormal movements and body posture. It is a neurological disorder that affects movement and tending not to affect other functions of the brain. Focal dystonias is the most common form, this affect only one part of the body.

Dystonia symptoms can include tremors, voice problems and can include dragging of the foot. Symptoms often start in childhood but are also know to begin in the late teens or early adulthood.
