Usher Syndrome Information, Advice and Facts

Usher syndrome is a major cause of deafblindness in adults affecting 3 to 6% of people in the UK who were born deaf or with partial hearing, usher syndrome involves both hearing and vision problems. People with this condition are born deaf and start to lose their sight as years go by. There are three types of usher syndrome, type 1 (USH1).
