Unfortunately anybody can develop an eating disorder although the people most often affected are young women within the ages of 15-25. That said, it is not unusual for an eating disorder to start at middle age. An eating disorder can be triggered by a number of things such as depression, drug addiction or simply being criticised about your weight.
