Scoliosis Resources and Facts

Scoliosis (curvature of the spine) is a condition where the spine is curved usually in an “S” or “C” shape, this can happen at any age but mostly becomes apparent between the ages of 10 to 15 or as the result of other conditions such as spina bifida, spinal muscular atrophy, trauma or cerebral palsy. Treatment does not usually improve scoliosis and it often not required especially if the condition is mild.

Other signs of scoliosis include uneven shoulders, leaning to one side or a visible curved spine. Most people with the condition live normal, pain free lives and participate in most activities and sports without problems.  Find a range of scoliosis resources, information, condition facts and research websites listed in this dedicated section of ABLEize.  These resources are researched and listed free for the benefit of others, if you found these scoliosis sites of interest please pass the page details on to others so they can also benefit from them.
