Check out the full list of disabled friendly accessible gardens shown below that offer easy (or easier) access for wheelchair users and those with other disabilities. Every effort has been made to discover the amount of accessibility in and around the public, country and private gardens listed here along with any facilities offered such as tea rooms, disabled WC's etc. Because each listed garden has not been visited by Ableize, it would be advisable to contact the site before visiting and ask about their levels of disabled access, disabled WC's and the degree of accessibility offered. Drummond Gardens - Crieff

Stunning gardens with views of Drummond castle. Wheelchair access in limited but a garden map is available showing the best route for a wheelchair and buggy user. The gravel paths require a strong pusher, a suggested route is along firmer, grass paths. See site for details.

Waterperry Gardens - Oxfordshire

Gardens, shops, food and drink and events surrounded by trees, shrubs and flowers, classical borders, secret corners and long vistas. Many accessible paths with areas of short cut grass. Includes a country life museum.

Anglesey Abbey - Cambridgeshire

A place of peace and tranquility with 98 acres of landscaped and wildlife gardens with a working watermill. Three steps to the house entrance with an alternative accessible entrance. Some hard gravel paths. See site for full access details before visiting.

Arley Hall & Gardens - Northwich

Gardens that are reported to be amongst the finest in Britain. Disabled parking, wheelchair access to the gardens and the ground floor of the hall. Includes WC facilities. View opening times and contacts.

Bressingham - Norfolk

Steam museum with over 40 engines and gardens with over 8,000 species. Accessible paths, coffee shops, gift shops and disabled WC.

Chatsworth House - Derbyshire

Home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire with 105 acre gardens. Many accessible paths, mazes plus shops and resting areas. See images and site for details. Has a users forum. Located in Bakewell.

Chenies Manor House and Gardens - Buckinghamshire

Garden areas contain sunken gardens plus rose, psysic and white areas. The gardens have full wheelchair access with the disabled WC's The house does not provide wheelchair access.

Chesters Walled Garden - Northumberland

18th Century garden, sheltered on three sides by beeches and yew trees. The main garden paths have a small grade of gravel and are wheelchair accessible. Croxteth Hall - Liverpool

House and country park with walled gardens, 'get close to the animal' section and country strolls. See site and make contact for accessibility levels.

Eggleston Hall

The home of Sir William and Lady Gray. Specialises in rare and unusual plants with emphasis on hardy herbaceous stock which survive in the cold climate of the northern dales. Wheelchair access is possible but many of the paths are gravelled and some areas have restricted access.

Forde Abbey - Chard

Large open grounds with much of the garden accessible to people in wheelchairs although the Bog Garden may present some difficulties. There is a wheelchair and battery car available for visitors. View their access statement for more details. Chard, Somerset.

Hatfield House - Hertfordshire

Home of the 7th Marquess of Salisbury. Cented and herb gardens laid out by the 5th Marquess of Salisbury. Part of the garden has elegant parterres, topiary and rare plants. Hestercombe Gardens

Forty acres of extensive gardens with tight cut lawn with full disabled access to the Courtyard and partial disabled access to the gardens. Contains a restaurant and gift shop.

Hever Castle and Gardes - Kent

Spectacular award winning gardens designed to display William Waldorf Astor’s collection of Italian sculpture. Many areas access to wheelchair users, a great sensory garden. Edenbridge Kent.

Holdenby House - Northamptonshire

20 acre Grade 1 listed garden and falconry. A mixture of wheelchair accessible and non accessible areas but worth a visit on a sunny day.

Houghton Lodge and Gardens - Hampshire

Contains gardens with beautiful trees and swathes of lawn sweeping down to the River Test. Disabled Visitors have full access to The Visitors' Centre, The Hydroponic Greenhouse, Walled Kitchen Garden, Woodland Walk, Lawns and River. Located in Stickbridge, Hampshire.

Kailzie Gardens - Scottish Borders

Containing a large walled garden including the display of snowdrops, daffodils and sheets of bluebells. Wheelchair access is available to most areas but best to check before visiting.

Larmer Tree Gardens

gardens with colourful shrubs and trees which flourish in secret ‎enclosures surrounded by ornate buildings with peacocks and macaws. Most of the garden, with the exception of the Dell, is accessible to disabled visitors. Access via a ramped entrance. Salisbury.

Pashley Gardens - East Sussex

Gardens are open from April to September. Due to the sloping nature of the garden, and the gravel paths, motorised wheelchairs are advised or a strong person to push!

RHS Garden Wisley - Woking

Contains richly planted borders, luscious rose gardens with lakes and lawns and a large state of the art glasshouse. See site for wheelchair access.

The North West’s most popular heritage attractions. Offers a high degree of disabled access, facilities and equipment hire, see 'Access for All' section of their site. Located in Knutsford, Cheshire.

Winsford Walled Garden

A large garden surrounded by 12 foot high Victorian walls with an aray of flowers and shrubs. Gardens are mainly level with wide gravel paths in most areas Greenhouses are open to all visitors and mobility scooters are available. Ideal sensory garden.

Wyken Vineyards - Suffolk

The ancient estate of Wyken with four acres of garden, including a mixture of solid paths and managable gravel. Located near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
